Trevellas Porth

(10 mins walk, 0.5 miles) Closest to our site is a small pebble beach. Turn left out of our gate and follow the footpath through the aerodrome gate, turn left when you meet the coastal path and head downhill to a small, quiet shingle beach with rock pools and hidden coves.

Dogs are allowed off the lead all year round (Dog leads recommended around cliff tops).

Take in the beautiful views of the mine workings and engine houses whilst your dog has the best time running across the beach. Great for an evening barbecue and watching the sunset.

Trevaunance Cove

Trevaunance Cove

Cove (St. Agnes, 25 mins coastal walk, 6 mins drive) is the main beach at St Agnes. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round but must be on a lead and under control. Best explored at low tide as you can walk to the neighbouring northerly beach of Trevellas Porth.

Perranporth Beach

(55 mins coastal walk or an 8-minute drive) This is a very large sandy beach with amenities & seasonal lifeguard. Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round. During July and August, they must be on leads on the main beach between 10am and 5pm, however they can still be let off the lead all year round in the sand dunes and the far beach. This beach is popular with families and surfers. Mobility sand chairs available.

Chapel Porth beach

(11-minute drive) – Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round except in July and August between 10am and 6pm. We recommend arriving early in the morning and walking along the huge vast golden sands

National Trust carpark & cafe kiosk with walks across the cliff tops amongst Cornwall’s mining heritage. Be sure to try their famous hedgehog icecreams!

Golden sands, caves and rock pools all best enjoyed at low tide. Great for surfing. Seasonal lifeguard. Dogs welcome except for a seasonal ban in July & Aug 10-6pm.

(also known as Perran Sands) – At low tide Perran Sands beach joins up with Perranporth Beach, giving to a stunning 3 mile stretch of golden sands.

This beach rarely feels too busy compared to its neighbour beach Perranporth. Dogs are allowed all year round too!

Another one of the many amazing sandy beaches near St Agnes. At low tide the beach stretches nearly 1.5 miles to include Chapel Porth beach.

With seasonal lifeguards it makes a fantastic family beach.

Seasonal dog ban. Dogs not allowed on beach from 15th May to 30th September / 10am to 6pm. (13 mins). Sandy blue flag beach with amenities.

Popular with surfers and families. Sunset cocktails with a view of the beach at the Blue Bar. Seasonal dog ban in place.

Gwithian Beach & Hayle Sands

Gwithian Beach & Hayle Sands

A bit further afield but with 3 miles of golden sand & dunes, a lighthouse & seals, it’s a popular destination. National trust parking at Godrevy or pay and display just off the B3301. Take your chairs with a picnic and camp out for the day with grassy field parking on Godrevy Headland.

Walk up onto the headland for some seal spotting as they haul out after playing in the surf. Several cafes and two surf schools for lessons or rentals.

Dogs welcome year-round but in July & August use the left stretch of this huge beach and go onto Hayle

Sands as the Gwithian Beach section has seasonal restrictions.
